The Ministry of Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia has announced that the Volkswagen electric vehicle manufactured in China has been temporarily banned from entering the country.
It is stated that the German company informed the minister in a letter through the embassy that the Volkswagen electric vehicle which is imported from China and entering Ethiopia does not have a legal license.
The ministry announced that the Chinese-made Volkswagen electric vehicle has been temporarily banned from entering the country until it is confirmed that it has a legal license from the company.
Volkswagen electric vehicles(VW ID.4 CROZZ) imported from China are often seen on the streets of Addis Ababa. Ethiopia View Media has confirmed that their price ranges from 6 million to 6.5 million birr at car dealerships.
