Ethiopia in Russia’s trade fair -Beyond participation

Ethiopia has participated in the 2023 Russian Industrial Trade Fair.

Delegates from 16 countries are participating in the trade show and fair. The trade fair will be held in various regions of the Russian Federation.

Alongside the trade show, Ethiopian Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel held discussions with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Valentinovich Manturov on issues that will strengthen the investment ties between the two countries.

During their discussion, investors who want to come and invest in Ethiopia and investors engaged in manufacturing industry were presented.

Industrial owners interested in engaging in chemical, automotive, agricultural products and input technology participated in the discussion.

Ethiopian Industry Minister Ato Melaku told the Russian Deputy Prime Minister that we will strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries through investment ties.

Stating that the investment relationship between the two countries is small, the Minister of Industry said that we will strengthen the diplomatic relationship between the two countries through investment.

The minister pointed out that there was a wide discussion on the issues that strengthen the investment ties between the two countries and he pointed out that the Russian side has given the necessary mission to all officials regarding the issue and has promised to send their trade and investment representatives to Ethiopia by the end of 2023.

During the discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Indonesia mentioned that the initiative taken by Ethiopia to strengthen the investment ties is also encouraging.
